Our story

Dancing Pines Brewing Company was born from our deep love for the mountains, outdoor adventure, and the incredible community that makes Tahoe feel like home. Living in Truckee, we’re constantly inspired by the sight of pine trees swaying in the alpine wind - moving with energy and a sense of freedom. To us, those dancing pines are a symbol of connection, creativity, and living life in motion.

Our journey begins as a distribution only brewery, sharing our beer through local bars and restaurants so we can grow organically and connect with our community one pour at a time. In time, we plan to expand into canning and bottling, and eventually open a taproom where people can gather, share stories, and feel right at home.

Whether you’re coming off the mountain or kicking back with friends, we’re here to bring people together over great beer, inspired by the place we love most.

Who we are

We’re Luke and Hannah, a husband-and-wife team who share a love of craft beer, mountain adventure, and building something meaningful together.

After a decade of brewing professionally, from Northern California to Bend, Oregon, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Luke has worked his way up the industry ladder from Cellarman to Brewmaster, earning nearly a dozen awards for his unique recipes along the way. Throughout it all, his dream has remained the same: to open our own brewery.

We’re so happy to have made Truckee our home, raising our young son in a place where we can mountain bike, rock climb, snowboard, hike, and backpack in the stunning Sierra Nevadas and Tahoe National Forest. Dancing Pines Brewing Company is our way of sharing the joy, creativity, and sense of community we’ve found here - from peaks to pints, one beer at a time.

A happy family of three, a man, a woman, and a young child, outdoors in a forested area during daytime. The man is crouching on the left, wearing a blue shirt and gray pants. The woman is crouching on the right, wearing a white top and black pants. The child, standing between them, is smiling and waving, dressed in a cream-colored shirt with little prints and beige pants.
